Dog facilities

  • We  welcome dogs, please keep them  off all beds and couches.
  • If the couches are a difficulty we can supply drop sheets to protect them.
  • There is a secure yard to leave dogs in if you go in the National Park, this yard is private, with shelter, shade and water dishes. Dogs often get a bone when they go in, and the surrounding bushes make them feel safe.  They can see out but do not think they can be seen.  We keep an eye on them to make sure they are calm.
  • If you prefer dogs can be chained with a metal chain to the back verandah.
  • Dogs can sleep inside or outside at the lodge which has a brick paving floor with persian rugs on it, so suited to animals.  We ask you bring a rug or bed for your dog to sleep on inside. Dog towels are available also. We have 2 dog dishes and pottery drinking bowls at the cabins. , Water containers in the secure yard.
  • Please do not leave your dog alone in the cabin as they can get anxious and cause damage.  Use the yard available so we can keep an eye on them. We appreciate owners picking up outside droppings.
  • Visiting dogs usually love the space and freedom, some really enjoy the dams.  Lots of new smells and places to explore.
  • The lodge is 200+ metres from the road so is fairly safe from cars, if they do not roam too far, but over the back valley you can go for a long way.
  •  We have had some wonderful dogs come and stay.
  • At the moment we have no dog so particularly enjoy visitors.
  • Cost is 15 per dog per night, discounts for longer stays, smaller/older dogs.
  • Certain breeds of dogs may not be suitable with kangaroos and emu's common.
